The hand guards are not exactly what I expected, but they do offer decent protection (hands and levers). They stick out much further from the handlebar than they need to, so my Sur-Ron looks like it has wings (a bracket that is 1" shorter would solve the problem). The first time I laid my bike down, the guard slid downward, exposed the brake lever, and had to be readjusted and tightened. I'll have to see how they fair long-term.
